あの有名な「Key to the Highway」はビッグ・ビル・ブルーンジーの曲

1893年にミシシッピ州生まれとされていますが、1898年説もあります

色々見てたら意外だったのが、戦前ブルースの有名人たちの年齢

生まれた年を列記すると

スキップ・ジェイムス　　　　1902年

ハウリン・ウルフ　　　　　　1910年

ロバート・ジョンソン　　　　1911年

ロバート・ジョンソンの方が元祖だと思ってたら全く後輩でした

そんな元祖なのに動画なんかも、しっかり残っています

ロバート・ジョンソンなんか音源だけですからね

歌の独特の節回しがブルースを感じるとともに、演歌っぽい

これが、吟遊詩人という意味なのかでしょうか

「シカゴブルース界の吟遊詩人」「シカゴブルースの風」とも呼ばれ

若干カントリーの源流の匂いも感じます

昔のラジオを聴いているようでノスタルジックな気分になれます
