本日のCD Tower Of Power ♪ Souled Out

1995年リリース作品で、比較的落ち着いて聞こえる
と言えば良いように聞こえるが
ミドルテンポの配分が多い甘い曲が多く
いつものブラスアンサンブルがおとなし過ぎて
バンドの持ち味のグルーブが少し足りなくて物足りないかも

リードボーカルで、やはり印象はグッと変わってしまうもので
他前作とメンバー4人が変わっているので若干歯車がかみ合わないのか

しかしながら、ライブでエミリオ・カステロが歌うのが定番の
「Diggin' on James Brown」

ソウルシンガーの名前が出てきて、ソウルに対するリスペクト

「Sexy Soul」
などの仕掛けもありますが全体としては残念かもしれない
